Hoku makes trips from Maui to work with me. We met many years ago.
I was drawn to her and ideas, we instantly connected and became friends.
Bonding over deep family history, ‘āina and mahina magic.
As we slowly worked on many tattoo sessions through the years, she now came to me with her grounding ideas for this current piece.
I was able to intuitively channel, freehand draw on her and I couldn’t have been happier with our outcome. Bands in general are one the most challenging for me and deserves many years of tattooing experience before taking on.
Our first session was very challenging for me to layout.
We completed this first phase in May 2023.
